LoFi Bar — Low-key Cool

If you're looking for a new Park Slope neighborhood hangout, LoFi Bar should be at the top of your list. This spot strikes the perfect balance between originality and simplicity. It offers unique cocktails without the pretentiousness of a high-end mixology bar. It features interesting beers without the overwhelming selection of a craft beer bar. LoFi isn't fancy, nor is it a dive. It's a clean, intimate, and inviting space with tall ceilings that make it feel more spacious than it actually is. Plus, there are a few outdoor tables if you prefer sipping your drink with a side of fresh air (though I'm a fan of bellying up to the bar). Bring a date or go with friends if you’re looking for a comfortable place you can chat without yelling over loud music.
LoFi Cocktails & Food
My go-to cocktail at LoFi has been the Rum Runner Reviver—a delightful concoction of rum and coffee, which is surprising for me since I don't usually opt for either in my drinks. The Oak Barrel Aged Manhattan for just $13 is also hard to pass up. The bar offers small bites and oysters on select nights. From cocktails to food, everything I've had was on point. Even better, it's all been reasonably priced.
Where to Find LoFi
LoFi Bar is not hidden, but it's tucked away off 5th Ave, behind a Van Leeuwen Ice Cream shop, away from the usual Park Slope foot traffic. You kind of have to know it's there, which means it's never been too crowded—a major plus in my book.
LoFi Bar is basic in the best way possible. It's pretty much perfect.
